From Used Cars to Towing, Recovery & Auto Parts
Bob Douthit started the business in the mid-1960s selling used vehicles. As customers' needs changed, the company expanded with them. Towing and wrecker service were added in 1983, followed by the salvage yard and parts operation at our S. Barnes Street location in Pampa in 1987.

Those additions shaped the company Bob Douthit Auto is today. We can help when a vehicle needs to be moved, when a roadside problem may be solved where it sits, or when the next step involves parts, tires, or another vehicle. Now operated by the second and third generations of the family, the business continues serving Pampa, McLean, and drivers throughout the Texas Panhandle.

The vehicles on the road have changed considerably since Bob Douthit Auto began. So have towing equipment, commercial traffic, highway travel, and the problems drivers run into. Experience means knowing those differences matter. A breakdown on a Pampa street can call for something very different from a disabled commercial vehicle along I-40 near McLean. A dead battery may only need roadside assistance, while another vehicle may need towing or recovery before anything else can happen.
